Privacy Policy

Code 3 Collectibles is committed to maintaining a web site that builds our users' trust and confidence on the Internet and protecting their personal information. The following statement sets forth the privacy policy of Code 3 Collectibles and, by using our site, you agree to accept the terms of our privacy policy. Please note that this privacy policy applies only with respect to the information we collect on our site and not to any information we collect through other methods or sources.

Information Collection and Use

Code 3 Collectibles will not sell, share, or rent any information collected through our site to or with others except as disclosed in this statement.

Personal Information

Code 3 Collectibles collects personal information from our users for our own use as follows:

  • Registration: In order to use certain features of our site, you must first complete the registration form. During registration you are required to give limited contact information (such as name, email, and zip code). This information is used to contact you about the services and products that we believe may be of interest to you. Your e-mail address is used as the unique identifier on our site.

  • Orders: In order for you to order any products on our site, we request certain information from you on our online order form, such as your contact information and billing information (e.g., credit card number and expiration date). This information is used to contact you about the services and products that we believe may be of interest to you, for billing purposes, to fulfill your orders, and to get in touch with you if we have trouble processing any order.

  • Surveys & Contests: From time to time we may request information from you via surveys or sweepstakes. Participation is voluntary. Information requested may include contact information and demographic information (such as zip code and age group). Contact information will be used to notify sweepstakes winners and to award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring and improving our site.

Please note that we may combine any information that we collect from you with other information we have collected from you previously.

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data from a web site that is stored on your hard drive. Cookies generated by our site do not include any personal information about you and cannot be retrieved by any other web site. A cookie is written to the hard drive of all users who visit our site, for the purpose of traffic analysis. If you have registered on our site, a second cookie is written to your computer, which contains only your e-mail address and an expiration date. If you have selected our "Auto-Login" option, the cookie will remain on your computer's hard drive for a period of one year, unless it is manually deleted. If you have not selected "Auto-Login" or have not registered, the cookie will be deleted when you close your web browser software. You may change the "Auto-Login" option at any time at the "Your Account" page on our site.

Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, note that many areas of our site will not function properly or may be considerably slower if you refuse cookies.

Platform for Privacy Preferences Project (P3P)

The Code 3 Collectibles site supports the P3P standard, developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This standard allows P3P enabled web browsers to "read" a web site's privacy policies and take appropriate action, based on the consumer's own set of privacy preferences. Our P3P policy mirrors our privacy policy that you are reading on this page, in a machine-readable format. Please see your own browser's documentation to determine if it supports P3P and for information on setting privacy preferences.

Log Files

We use Internet Protocol (IP) addresses to analyze trends, administer our site, track users' movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. An IP address is a number assigned to your computer by your Local Area Network or Internet Service Provider. This number identifies your computer on the Internet. IP addresses are not linked to personal information.

Information Sharing

We may share aggregated demographic information of our users with our affiliates or partners. This information is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.

We may also share personal information of our users with third parties that provide specific services through our site. When you sign up for these services, we will share your personal information with the applicable third party, but only to the extent necessary for such third party to provide these services. We require such third parties to adhere to our privacy policy; however, we cannot be responsible for any third party's failure to comply with our privacy policy.

In addition, we may share your name and contact information with third parties that can provide you with services and products that we believe may be of interest to you, and you may be contacted by them directly. If you do not wish us to share your personal information with such third parties, please let us know by e-mailing Customer Service at collector@code3.net. Please note that although we require those third parties to use your name for the limited purpose stated in this paragraph, we cannot be responsible for such third parties' information handling practices.

Finally, we reserve the right to share personal information of our users with third parties if required to do so by law or if we believe such action is necessary to: (i) conform with legal requirement or to comply with legal process served upon us; (ii) protect or defend our or our users' legal rights or property; or (iii) investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, or situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person.

Opt-out

We may occasionally send information about products, services, and special offers to our users via e-mails. If you do not wish to receive such e-mails, you must explicitly "opt-out" by using one of the following methods:

  1. On your Account Registration page, deselect any or all of the mailing list choices.

  2. Select the "Click here to unsubscribe from this list" link at the bottom of any Code 3 Collectibles mailing. This removes you only from the list associated with that particular e-mail (What's New, Promotions, etc.)

  3. Select the "Click here to set all your email options" link at the bottom of any Code 3 Collectibles mailing. This takes you to your Account Registration page where you can select or deselect any or all of the mailing list choices.

Business Transfers

If a third party acquires all or substantially all of our assets, then personal information of our users, aggregated information, and any other information that we have collected on our site may be transferred to such third party as part of our business assets. Also, if any bankruptcy or reorganization proceeding is brought by or against us, all such information may be considered to constitute our assets and may be sold or transferred to third parties.

Security

We take precautions to protect our users' personal information. Your Code 3 Collectibles account is password protected so that only you can access it and view the member information contained in your account. All personal information transmitted via the Internet is encrypted and is protected with the industry-standard encryption protocol, Secure Socket Layer (SSL). All credit card numbers are encrypted before storage and are displayed with all but the final four digits obscured. We also take precautions to protect user information off-line. The servers on which we store our users' personal information are housed in a secure environment.

Correction/Removal/Updating Personal Information

If you would like to change any contact or billing information, or if you no longer desire our service, you can correct, update or remove your personal data provided to us by going to the "Your Account" page on our site or by emailing Customer Service at collector@code3.net. You can view the information contained in your account at any time by visiting your Account Registration page.

Outside Links and Public Areas

Our site contains links to other web sites. Please be aware that Code 3 Collectibles is not responsible for the privacy practices of these other sites. We encourage you to note when you leave our site and to read the privacy statements of such web site. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected through our site.

Please keep in mind that whenever you enter personal information on a "public" venue online --- for example, via Bulletin Boards or Chat Rooms -- that information can be collected and used by anyone. We urge you to use caution when disclosing any private information on these venues.

Children's Privacy Policy

Code 3 Collectibles does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not provide any personal information to us.

Consent/Notification of Changes

We may change the terms of our privacy policy from time to time without prior notice to you. Any such changes will be effective immediately upon the posting of the revised policy on this page, so please check this page periodically to view the most current policy.
