What are Code 3 Collectibles?
Code 3 Collectibles produces the most accurately detailed fire and emergency die cast collectibles on the market. We specialize in modern day apparatus though our classics collection is very popular. We are known for our signature dome packaging, allowing you to display your vehicles without ever opening the box. All vehicles come with an official Certificate of Authenticity. Limited edition sizes range from 1,000 to 25,000.

How can I submit my city or department's equipment to Code 3 Collectibles?
Code 3 Collectibles is always searching for new and unique emergency vehicles to add to our release schedule. If you are interested in having Code 3 Collectibles produce your department's vehicle or apparatus, please send us photos and contact information. Be sure to get permission from your department before taking photographs. Your photographs should be taken from all four sides plus a top view. Close up shots are also helpful for logos and any special graphics.

Due to the large number of submissions we receive, you will not be contacted upon receipt of the photos. You will be contacted when and if Code 3 Collectibles decides to add your equipment to the product line.

How can I find out what Code 3 Collectibles is planning for the future?
Information on future plans is contained in both the quarterly club newsletter and the workshop in the members only area of the Code 3 Collectibles website.

Future models are posted as soon as they are confirmed. We cannot release information on models or departments until it is confirmed that Code 3 Collectibles will produce the vehicle. Become a Collectors Club member today to be the first to see Code 3 Collectibles' new models.

Why aren't there photographs posted for all the pre-released items?
Photographs are posted as soon as we have a pre-production sample. Samples before this stage are rough and will always change. Code 3 Collectibles is working to have photographs posted as soon as possible. It is a balancing act between our collectors' desire for information and the production process.

When are the new products being released?
The Release Schedule page breaks down by month all of the releases currently open for ordering. The Latest News page lists the current shipping date for the current and following months. This page is updated weekly. You may sign up to receive the Latest News by e-mail, which goes out every Friday. Not only will you receive updated shipping schedules but you will have the latest information on Code 3 Collectibles. The Latest News page also lists the most current information we have on shipping dates for each item. Sometimes the actual date will end up being earlier than anticipated. Sometimes, the date is later. Delays in shipping can be caused by numerous factors, such as delays in production at the factory or delays in shipping.

How large is 1/64 scale?
The actual size varies with the type of equipment. Here are some approximate sizes for a few pieces in our product line:

How does Code 3 Collectibles decide which details to include in a new model?
Code 3 Collectibles strives to make our apparatus as true to the actual working trucks as possible. Details that can be added without changing the mold will be added. Details that would require changing the mold will be considered based on the extent of the needed change.

Website

I am a club member, why isn't the site recognizing me as one?
In order to have your club membership information pulled up by the computer, you must be signed in. You will know if you are signed in, if on the home page, you see a welcome message with your name. If you do not see this welcome message, please sign in at the sign in link on the home page.

Most members will only need to sign in once. You will be recognized when you return to the website if you selected "Auto Login" (this is the default) when you registered. Auto Login can be turned on or off at any time through the Account Status page.

What if I've forgotten my password?
On every page, there is an account status link in the black bar under the red header. In this area, you can click on "Forgotten your password?" to have your password emailed directly to you.

Is the Code 3 Collectibles website secure?
Yes. The Code 3 Collectibles website uses secure server software that is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information including credit card number, name and address so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet.

How often is the website updated?
The Latest News page is updated every Friday. The rest of the site is updated as needed with new product information, which is about once every 6-8 weeks.

Collectors Club

What are the benefits of the Fire & Rescue Code 3 Collectors Club?
As a Code 3 Collectors Club Member you will have access to the members only area of the web site. Here you will find information on upcoming releases and be able to pre-order new releases before anyone else. As a club member you will pay discounted pricing on almost all items. As a club member you will be able to purchase club-only releases.

What happened to the Loyalty Dollar Rewards program and my points?
The Loyalty Dollar Rewards program ended on January 5, 2007. For those existing Club members who had balances of Loyalty Dollar Rewards on January 5, 2007, you will be able to redeem these until December 31, 2007.

Ordering

Sometimes I get an error message right after I've placed an order. What does it mean?
If you receive this message after clicking the button labeled "Confirm Order", then your order has been placed and transmitted securely. At this point, you have finished ordering and are therefore leaving the secured area of the website. If you see an error message, this simply means that you have set your web browser to alert you to this change. You do not need to go back and replace the order. If you are concerned, please feel free to call or email customer service to confirm receipt of your order. Customer service can be reached using our online contact form.

Is my credit card information stored on the website? Is it safe?
Your credit card information is not stored on the website. It is encrypted and transferred to our order processing computer here at the corporate office. The interface between the order processing computer and the Internet is secured. The Code 3 Collectibles website uses secure server software that is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information including credit card number, name and address so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet

What if I don't want to give my credit card information over the web?
Call or fax in your card number.
Fill out our order form online and select the "Mail or Fax" ordering method. Once you have completed all other requested information simply print out the order form using the print command from your browser. Then, fax us the order form at (818) 598-6868. Even if you can't use our secure server, this option is easy and fully protects the security of your credit card.

Paying by check or postal money order.
You can select "pay by check" as a payment method, and at the end of the ordering process you will be linked to print out the order form. Send us the printed copy of your order form along with a personal check or money order in U.S. dollars for the amount of your order. PLEASE NOTE that currently we are only able to accept postal money orders denominated in US dollars or checks denominated in US dollars and drawn on a US bank. Checks must have a valid nine-digit bank routing number (ABA code) micro-encoded on the bottom of the check. Paying by check does slow down your order somewhat, as we don't order your items until your check is received, and we don't ship the items to you until your funds clear. If you are in the United States, paying by personal check typically delays your order about seven to ten days.

How can I check the status of my order?
There are three ways to check your order status:

  1. Code 3 Collectibles offers the ability to check your order on-line. Using the Account link, recall your account information or create a new user account. When your account information is displayed, an Order Status link will appear in the gray bar at the top of the page. Note: new user accounts may not display order status for up to 48 hours.
  2. Go to the Contact Customer Service link located in the black bar under the header on every page. Choose Order Status for the subject. In the message, be sure to include your name, address, telephone number and membership number (if you are a club member). Customer service needs this information to verify your account.

If I order an item prerelease, when does my credit card get billed?
Your credit card is billed when an item is shipped, not when the order is placed.

How much is Shipping and Handling?
Please note that we can not ship orders via Express Shipping to P.O. boxes.

For in-stock items, from the time you place your order:

How do I redeem Gift Certificates or Code 3 Collectibles Cash coupons?
Gift certificates and coupons can only be redeemed via mail. Add items to your shopping cart as usual on the website. Instead of submitting your order online, print it out and mail it with the coupon or certificate to:

What is the Code 3 Collectibles Return Policy?
Products purchased from Code 3 Collectibles Direct may be returned for any reason within 30 days of the Invoice date. If the product is being returned due to damage, a replacement or reimbursement may be requested. Code 3 Collectibles will pay for all shipping charges. Replacement or reimbursement may also be requested for any other reason. However, Code 3 Collectibles will not be liable for shipping charges.
